Colorful Birds!

Today we sang our lion hunt song and had some very creative ideas on boats in our song from the children. Our book today was "Flap Your Wings and Try" by Charlotte Pomerantz about a baby bird that wants to fly. We flapped our wings just like the bird in the book and took flight as we read this great book. The craft today was a bird made out of a halved paper plate, paint, glue, paper. They turned out fabulous! Check out their work:)

BumbleBees! Mommy and Me!

Today we read "The Amazing Adventures of Bumblebee Boy" by David Soman and Jacky Davis. Great book about a little boys imagination with a good message for brothers. Our craft today involved making our own bumblebees. First we either traced our bare foot or our shoe for the body of the bumblebee, created a colorful background and then added features and wings made of our messy painted hand prints. They are all spectacular, check us out:)

Crayon Melt Easter Eggs and Chicks

Today we read three wonderful books about the Easter Bunny and Eggs! They were "Duck & Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny!" by Tad Hills, "Easter Bunny in Training" by Maryann Cocca-Leffler and"Whose Chick Are You?" by Nancy Tafuri. And then we decorated egg paper frames, melted crayon in wax paper and even made some of our eggs into chicks. Check us out!
